I just tried to respond to a message I got after submitting my site, but the message bounced:

Hostgator support does stink. It used to be good, but lately…I’ve been disconnected when I’m on the phone. I had to go through 5 people to get one problem solved. When I use the livechat, the support people disappear or disconnect me if I’m not there after waiting for 5-10 minutes. It’s extremely frustrating.

This is nice enough, i have also some “GOOD” experience like this with them. I have a major issue and they just simply reply that it is not possible. Shit i’ll have to switch to another company i think.

Indeed Hostgator went down the tubes, support is crap, my site is much slower in the past month than in the past, today they go ahead and remove one of my databases without notifying me due to high volume by scanalert.com, I had to wait over 2 hours after submitting a support ticket to find this out, and now I am still waiting for them to resolve it.

I will most likely be moving hosts soon, anyone have any recommendations ? price is not the issue, I am looking for good service.

My issues with SEOhosting.com have pretty much stabilized. I’ve even added more C classes since I wrote this post. I seem to be getting a better response from online chat now when I contact them.

I haven’t found any hosts that have flawless reputations. Even the good ones that people seem to recommend you can find complaints. FWIW, my shared hosting with GoDaddy has been A+ since I’ve had it (as well as their phone support), but it doesn’t sound like shared hosting is what you’re looking for. Besides, I’ve seen plenty of complaints (to match the compliments) about GoDaddy hosting.

What is amusing to me is that shortly after they decided to start offering “SEO hosting” they contacted us. The conversation went something along the lines of, “we acknowledge that you guys are the leader in this niche. What tips can you give us for marketing it?”

I suggested signing up for our affiliate program and we would take care of it for them.

I find it amazing that they feel sharing IP’s is good SEO.
